PR: Sign and Digital UK visitors invited to discover new routes to profit by YPS

Your Print Specialists (YPS), the UK’s only dedicated Mimaki vendor, will present a full range of graphic, textile and industrial print technologies at Sign and Digital UK, focusing on the routes to profitability for British print houses via technical expertise and high-value applications. It intends to follow up on its barnstorming performance in 2015, where it was recognised as the strongest-selling vendor in its channel at the show.

Specifically, the North East-based reseller will showcase its reputation for expert training and customer service as it explores with sign and display businesses the opportunities to be found in these specialised markets. Visitors to Sign and Digital UK are invited to visit stand E2 to consult YPS’s specialists about the specific applications they are looking to develop and discover how they can do so with rapid return on investment and a set-up that works in harmony with their existing work list.

YPS will demonstrate the broadest range of Mimaki equipment on offer at the show, repeating its presence in 2015, when it was the largest Mimaki reseller on site. The Mimaki CJV150-130, a 1.36m integrated print-and-cut engine which sports silver, orange, white and light black inks as options, will hit the mark for printers looking to serve retail and other high-quality markets. The popular engine offers speeds of up to 56.2sq m/hour, plus a top-of-the-line maintenance option that reduces total cost of ownership.

Meanwhile, the Mimaki UJF-7151plus – the popular, larger update to the flat-bed UJF range – puts high-margin direct-to-object prints within reach. This machine appeals broadly to those expanding their profit centres with promotional materials, customer components, instrumentation and fine-gauge industrial work. With its six staggered heads, the UJF-7151plus provides superior image quality thanks to Mimaki’s MAPS4 advanced pass system and MFD1 fine diffusion, which eliminate print noise while nevertheless printing at some 2.6 times the speed of previous models.

“Although there are many opportunities available for printers wanting to expand the types of job they can provide to customers, we know they’re looking for guidance about how to do so profitably,” says Garry Brown, managing director. “YPS works with all its customers to make sure they’re completely confident they can move into new areas sustainably and hit the ground running.”

Textile printing will therefore be a major focus of YPS’s presence at this major UK event. Visitors will see the popular, accessible Mimaki CJV150-75 platform in its dye-sublimation version, outputting prints that are increasingly attractive for a breadth of indoor and outdoor environments. The CJV150 – which can be supplied with a bulk ink system – is to be paired with a Muratex Sublimation Calender a high-capacity, 1.8m roll-to-roll calender with accurate automatic controls for speed and heat, as well as manually adjustable fabric tensioning for handling a realm of different materials. The Muratex – for which YPS is the exclusive UK reseller – is also available in 2.0, 2.4 and 3.2m.

“YPS promises its customers around the country the training, service and the right technology they need to be hugely creative – and therefore profitable – in a competitive world,” adds Garry. “We welcome any company in the wide-format trade to come and find out why we’re known as the safe and friendly pair of hands in this exciting, ever-changing area of print.”
