Wednesday 8th November saw Your Print Specialists host their first Roland Open Day. Customers were invited along to our offices to see a range of Roland printers in action and speak to the team about the applications and capabilities of each machine. Also in attendance were Ronee and Joe from Roland DG who brought along their knowledge and expertise.
The Roland TrueVIS VG-640, VersaUV LEF-300 and VersaSTUDIO BN-20 were available to demonstrate. The TrueVIS VG-640 was used to produce wallpaper, vinyl for car wraps as well as poster prints.
Roland Print and Cut…
The Roland BN-20 is a great entry level piece of kit with the ability to open up a whole range of new business opportunities. This desktop printer can print up to 480mm wide and also has a cut function for labels and stickers. During our Roland Open Day the BN-20 printed posters alongside print and cut t-shirt transfers using our own heat transfer media Rainbow Light.
For those looking for more than a desktop print and cut, we also had the Roland TrueVIS VG-3640 on a display printing a mix of both posters and decals. Our new decals for the delivery van were printed on the Roland and applied on the day. We also printed and installed our bespoke YPS demo room wallpaper on this machine.
Roland Direct to Object printing…
Direct to object printing with the Roland LEF-300 LED UV printer is impressive to watch. The LEF-300 can print on to a huge variety of substrates up to 100mm in height. Joe kindly oversaw the running of this machine and was printing everything from phone cases to bottle openers, acrylic panels and even house bricks!
